Meet our Founder!

Hey Y'all! You can call me Marri. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, foodie, traveler, and proud pit momma! I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, and am new to the Queen City. I am thrilled to serve the communities all around Ohio & North Carolina!

My Experience:

Since the start of my career in 2018, I have provided individual counseling, marriage and family counseling, group therapy, and crisis management services in a plethora of different settings. I am also a trained Clinical EMDR Therapist. I have been working in private practice for almost 4 years now and I love it!

My specialties:

I work with teens 15+, adults, couples, and families. I enjoy supporting clients with suicidality & self-harm behaviors, disordered eating & body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and BIPOC/Racism Issues. I am also affirmative and socially conscious of the intersectionality within LGBTQ+ communities within clinical work.

I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Alternatives for Families: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and extensive practice utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) concepts. I strongly encourage the utilization of books, videos, and podcasts that may help you along your journey outside of sessions.

The “Tea”

I am passionate about working with diverse populations and providing a safe space for ALL individualsI believe in taking a strengths based approach and encouraging my clients to not only embrace their full potential, but to also utilize their resiliency and determination to strive to reach their greatest accomplishments.

My Style

I believe in building a foundation in which I serve as the guiding force helping you to recognize and embrace your full potential. As your therapist, I am here to reinforce the balance between acceptance and change. Helping you to accept the circumstances that have brought you here today, without letting them hinder where you wish to be tomorrow. I'm here to keep it REAL REAL with you, in the most caring way!

Outside of the ‘office’:

Outside of work you can find me working out, running, checking out the Charlotte food scene, or spending time with family and friends! You are bound to virtually meet my sweet little Pitbull, Ms. Kaia Marie. I cherish making unforgettable memories with my loved ones. Most of all, I prioritize taking care of my own mental and physical wellbeing so I can show up as MY best self for you as my client.

I can’t wait to start this journey together. Let’s get to it!
